S E A P O R T - e Billion-Dollar Navy Contract
Dahlgren, Virginia--The Navy's Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has opened "Rolling Admissions" in fiscal year 2008 (GFY-08) for its multi-year, multi-billion dollar SeaPort-e contract. Interested bidders may visit http://www.seaport.navy.mil for the latest details. BDPA-DC HSCC sponsors RS Information Systems (RSIS) of McLean, VA [Northern Virginia Chapter] and Tec-Masters (TMI) of Huntsville, AL [Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; and Washington, D.C. Chapters] are current SeaPort-e [Large Business] prime contractors. BDPA Entrepreneurs are highly encouraged to contact BDPA sponsors for teaming opportunities and/or functional area support as SeaPort-e [Small Business] prime contractors. The U.S. Navy awards over 85% of their task orders to small businesses through this contract vehicle. Most tasks ordered from small businesses via SeaPort-e are systems engineering, IT, and related technology support services for all major Department fo the Navy (DoN) virtual systems commands (NAVAIR, NAVFAC, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, ONR, SPAWAR, et. al.) and the United States Marine Corps.

I T S [Small Business] Contract
Ft. Belvoir, Virginia--The Army's Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) through the Information Technology, E-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center (ITEC4) office released its Sources Sought announcement for potential muli-year multi-million dollar IT contract vehicles for small businesses. Interested vendors must complete a survey on or before January 18, 2008. The Solicitation Number is: W91QUZ-08-R-0011.
The Army's Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) has additional information on their Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU) site: http://www.sadbu.cecom.army.mil/sadbu/ . Of note, CECOM is expanding to Aberdeen, Maryland. Opportunities to support CECOM and other tennant organizations are increasing within the region. The U.S. Army will use their contract vehicles to purchase IT, relocation, training, telecommunications, and multimedia services from qualified vendors.
